CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cardio Cycle : One hour class with outstanding certified instructors. They will coach and encourage you to enhance your strength and cardiovascular endurance by an intense but ‘self-modified’ program of spinning with great music and camaraderie

Senior Build : : Train for your next decade. Build your strength, balance, flexibility, endurance and posture through classes designed to ready you for the next decade. Your body will love you. The class will utilize bands, bodyweight movements, massage balls, chairs, and light weights. 

3,2,1: NEW : Get ready to ignite your inner athlete with our high energy strength, core, and cardio class. This dynamic 60-minute workout combines the best of all worlds, featuring a mix of strength training, core strengthening and cardio bursts focused on speed, agility, and plyometrics to get your heart rate soaring.

Yoga : A discipline method, centuries old, of obtaining control of the body and mind. Obtain the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits by adopting a regular practice of Yoga.

Barre: : A total body workout designed to strengthen, sculpt and lengthen muscles. Barre combines elements of yoga, pilates, and ballet to give a great low-impact total body workout. This class will help improve your balance and stability, muscular endurance, and improve core strength. No dance experience is needed and welcome to all levels of experience! 

Strength Class : A 30 minute class of total body strength building using free weights and functional movements. Take it twice a week and you will build strength, balance, and endurance.

Boot Camp : 60 minutes of a high intensity, energetic strength and cardiovascular workout led by skilled instructors.

Dance Fitness with Clare : NEW : 50 minutes of an empowering follow along dance cardio class that tones, sculpts, energizes and inspires. Modifiable for all dancers!

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Emma Brown : Vinyasa Yoga @ 9:00 AM on Monday and Friday at noon. This class combines poses to create heat in the body while you focus on your breathing as you move from one pose to the next. All levels of students are welcome.  Be restored, challenged, and engaged. Emma is a yoga instructor from North Carolina. She has over 400 hours of training and continues to pursue further training.

Angela Middel: Angela teaches Monday and Wednesday @ 5:30 PM. Angela teaches to all levels, with a nice balance between strength and letting go. Whether you are a beginner, or advanced yoga student, you will feel comfortable, safe and strong in her classes. Angela received her Yoga teacher Training in Shanghai China, with Inspya Yoga. She is a 320 hour certified yoga teacher. Angela is Baptiste Certified to teach Journey Into Power. “I have over 20 years of teaching and learning about yoga. It moves through my daily life, into my family, friends and lifestyle.” All you need is yoga Tuesday :

Kelly Carsley : Kelly teaches Senior Build at 10:30 on Tuesday and Yoga at noon on Tuesday. She designs her classes for the whole body and for everybody, focusing on building strength, stability , balance and mobility. Kelly has been teaching Yoga for 14 years and is a C-IAYT certified Yoga Therapist. Kelly is alos SAYF (safety and sustainability) trained and is trauma informed.

Brittany Nelson: Brittany teaches Hatha Yoga 9:30 AM on Saturday : This soulful Saturday morning all-levels hatha yoga class is an invigorating yet slower-paced flow that will both relax and gently challenge you. We focus on meditation and breathing with creative movement. Modifications available. Start your weekend out right -- rejuvenated, inspired and calm. Britney is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, Ayurveda Health Counselor and writer who's been teaching since 2016 where she learned from master teachers in the Bay Area. She's devoted the last decade of her life to studying natural medicine: such as yoga, herbalism, and Ayurveda -- and believes yoga has a profound positive effect on the physical body, and emotional and mental bodies.  She brings insight, grounding, and a down-to-earth approach to all of her classes. 

Allie Ferrick : Allie teaches Barre at 6:15 on Thursday : Allie has lived in Hood River since she was 6 years old. She is an enthusiast for all The Gorge has to offer: kiteboarding, camping, hiking. currently she is studying health psychology and hopes to help people develop an appreciation of the mind-body connection. She will be exploring this connection through movement in her Barre Class.

Deanna Wimmers : Deanna is teaching 3 - 2 - 1 at 9:00 on Tuesdays. - a strength, cardio, core workout. Deanna is certified in many areas of group fitness instruction. She has years of experience as an instructor. She brings her passion, energy, and knowledge to every class, creating amazing workout experiences

Clare Brown : Clare teaches Dance Fitness with Clare at 4:15 on Wednesday and 10:30 on Saturday morning, starting in September. Her years of dance & yoga experience allows Clare the ability to create classes that energize her students and encourage self discovery.

Matt Rankin : Carly Borton : Kara Weld : Matt Roth : George Thomas : These men and women are the Cardio Cycle leaders. They bring energy, creativity, and music that inspires each participant to achieve greatness on their bike!

Matt Roth and Kara Weld : First, Matt and Kara lead vibrant cardio classes. Then they take you to Strength and Fitness for 30 minutes of the second pillar of exercise -strength. They create a full body workout for the participants with engaging, varied, routines.

Carly Borton : Bootcamp, Thursday at 8:30 AM : Carly has been leading Bootcamp for years. She is skilled at getting the participants to achieve thier best through encouragement and instruction and overall fun.
